SoCal Edison's TOU-DPrime program cuts costs from 4-9pm with a battery:
Get a Battery like the $1,099 AC200L and run your Fridge on it from 4-9pm
and cut your electric bill by up to 50%.

SCE TOU-DPrime rate can cut your rate to 28¢/KWh from 42¢-75¢ with battery use.
TOU-DPrime costs 65¢/KWh 4-9pm and 28¢/KWh the rest of the day, so use a battery off-grid 4-9pm.

I cut my SCE bill using a AC200L battery 4-9pm with TOU-DPrime

(Some other utility companies have similar programs)

Watch a Review of the AC300:

Less expensive, but less expandable and more portable for an RV is the AC200Max (2048WH for $1599 (on sale),
expandable with up to 2 expansion batteries + 900Watt Solar Input).

Watch a review of the AC200L by the Coles below:

Solar Panels don't help after dark (don't help much during 4-9pm high rate),
but only cut down overall watts used.

Solar Panels on your house should cost about $1/Watt.
I suggest 2 x 550Watt Solar Panels from Renogy or SunGold for just over $1,000.

Portable Solar Panels cost 2-3 times more, but you can take them anywhere.
(But you shouldn't leave them outside - not waterproof)
Get 300W from 4 foldable Solar Panels = $749.
